the best moments in life are the ones when we feel most connected to self, in harmony with nature and the world around us. i am africology
Africology appoints anthropologist
We have appointed an anthropologist to guide us in ancient plant and ceremonial practices. This way Africology is able to 'Capture the Intelligence of Nature™', in an authentic way.
Relax, detox or energise your body in the bath. Hydrotherapy, formerly called hydropathy, involves the use of water for soothing pains and treating diseases.
Hydrotherapy is used to treat musculoskeletal disorders such as arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, or spinal cord injuries and helps patients suffering from burns, spasticity, stroke or paralysis.
Hands and Feet
Treatment for Hands and Feet
These treatments include a luxurious African pedicure, a detox mud bath followed by a pressure point massage to aid with swollen legs and feet. This is followed by a traditionally relaxing and healing massage working on reflexology points of the feet to restore balance to the body, and pressure on the scalp to send you into a state of relaxation.
Our body work recognises the mind, body and soul connection and great care is taken to restore balance between the three, understanding that total calmness and relaxation is obtained when gentle harmony is achieved. We acknowledge the work of our African ancestors, and draw upon many of their healing rituals to cleanse, heal and purify the body. Our touch works deeply into the core of tired, stiff muscles, while our essential oils help to calm and uplift the mind. We teach our therapists to work intuitively with the body, learning to recognise and connect with your energy, creating a very safe and calm space for you to feel truly restored.
All of our skincare treatments focus on destressing, anti-aging, cell renewal care. Rich in natural oils, vitamins and minerals, our velvet-textured treatments nourish the skin to restore elasticity and softness, stimulating cell growth naturally and promoting a healthy glow, establishing that ‘Africology Radiance’.
