Shaman's Healing Journey®

A gentle, kind and warm rose quartz crystal massage, that releases pent-up energy likely to cause muscular stress. The muscles are gently stretched while heat is applied to soften the muscle, followed by a rhythmic relaxing massage. A beautiful way of balancing the body’s energy centres to create optimum health and well-being. Your treatment is based on the traditional healer’s approach to healing the body.

Full body treatment

Designed to release tension in the very core of your muscles, this Intonga stick massage uses marula oil, shea butter and essential oils to treat your skin, while the deep tissue massage relaxes tight muscles and assists with lymph drainage. The client can choose from amongst our many balms depending on their mood and needs.

Majestic Awakening®

Neck, shoulders and scalp

Easy-melting shea from Ghana is blended with healing African potato, rooibos and natural essential oils to create a sublime, beautiful body experience. The treatment begins with the selection of your mood-enhancing shea before your neck, shoulders and scalp are deeply massaged, dissipating tension and stress through touch and aromatherapy.

 

Bespoke Yoga Body Massage®

Full body experience

Harnessing the powerful and respected knowledge of Indian yoga, this massage works with the meridians of the body as well as the muscles. Pressure is used on meridian lines to activate the body’s natural energy before limbs are stretched and massaged. Africology’s Bespoke Massage Oils are used to enhance the experience.

Express Bespoke Facial Treatments®

Our Bespoke facials are designed specifically with each client’s needs in mind. We offer a variety of serums that will address particular skin issues. Depending on which serum the client chooses (with the guidance of your trained therapist), each facial is specially made for each client. The facials are based on our special range of Serums. The serums are as follows:

• Rose Serum:  Restores the skin’s natural balance while eliminating feelings of sadness, rejection or fear. This is a great serum for sensitive and/or stressed skins

• Vitamin Boosting Serum: Enriches the skin with a luxuriant vitamin and mineral cocktail designed to boost the immune system, rejuvenate the skin and combat the impact of stress and harsh weather

• Aloe Ferox: This serum heals and soothes with honey, tripeptides and aloe ferox extract. Great for tired, dull skin, as well as aged skin

• Anti-Oxidant Serum: An anti-aging treatment designed to combat the effects and signs of aging. The unique layering process tones, soothes and brightens the skin, revitalising the skin in the long term

• Skin Hydrating Oil : A deeply cleansing and hydrating facial, this is a great facial to combat the harshness of winter cold, and the damaging effects of summer sun. It balances the skin and improves nutrient supply through massage

• Facial Renewal Therapy: For greater defence against external elements, restores moisture and firmness to dermis. Actively defends sensitive and reaction-prone skin with its “All Actives’’ preparation.

Copper and Hot Stone Pedicure®

This luxurious African pedicure begins by soaking the feet in an energy-balancing copper bath, followed by a warm massage of the legs. Hot stones are used to massage the soles of the feet and calf muscles, then an African potato masque is applied to the feet to soften rough areas and lock moisture into the skin.

 

African Potato Manicure®

This relaxing manicure is about treating the skin and nails naturally to keep them hydrated and therefore flexible and strong. An intensely hydrating African potato masque, blended with rooibos, aloe and marula antioxidants, is applied to ensure continued skin health and to rejuvenate the hands.

 

Detox Intonga Pedicure®

This advanced pedicure assists in treating stress and toxicity. We use detoxifying mud, which contains a rich botanical blend of seaweed, ivy, horsetail and queen meadow to eliminate toxins, and stimulate blood and lymphatic circulation. The treatment includes a muscle-relaxing Intonga Stick massage, which uses our yellow-wood sticks to assist lymph drainage and massage muscles to their core.
