Fairlady Best of Beauty 2011 Awards
2 Years in a row!
Here at Africology we are overcome by excitement to announce that for the
second year in a row our products have been placed at the top of the league at the ‘2011 Fairlady Best Of Beauty Awards’.
With well over 350 beauty products from around the world entering this year
the competition has been regarded as a consumer reflection of what is
most desirable, beneficial and outright luxurious.
Held at the Turbine Hall in Johannesburg and hosted by Jo-Ann Strauss the
evening was one adorned with breathtaking couture and gorgeous
beauty leaders all waiting anxiously to hear the results.
Africology was one of the only brands to have five different products in the finals for
various categories such as anti-ageing, best men’s and even best South African product of the year.
The products that made us proud as Finalists:

- Men’s Shaving Cream
- Pedi-Scrub
- Anti-Oxidant clay masque
After much anticipation the winning products:
- Pedi-Scrub: Best hand and Feet Care.

The Complete Shave
June is the month in which we celebrate fatherhood, so why not spoil Dad
with a complete Shaving kit from Africology. This Pack comes complete with a
200ml shave cream, a 100ml Body Scrub, 5ml Marula conditioning Oil, 5ml
Hydrating cleansing gel, 5ml a moisturizer as well as a step-by-step guide
which describes the perfect Africology shave.
Shaving cream
Taking the scrapes and cuts out of shaving, our deeply moisturising cream
provides a smoother shave with shea butter and jojoba beads. Your skin is left
feeling soft, protected and moisturised. Shea butter has natural spf of 7,
providing further protection against the sun. Usually retails at R435.
Body Scrub
We blend walnut and marula shell powder to provide a gentle, chemical-free
exfoliator. The scrub delivers sunflower oil, rich in linoleic acid, vitamins A,
B complex, D and E, calcium, zinc, potassium, iron and phosphate into the skin.
All of these contribute to the general well-being of the cell membrane. Aloe
ferox extract and marula oil help to create a smooth, soft finish. Retails at R212
Marula Conditioning Body Oil
To create an oil this luxurious, we infused marula oil with rooibos and neroli
to soften signs of aging through its anti-stress action. An all-over body serum
that is rich in palmatic acid, sealing the skin off from free radical attack.

Hydrating Cleansing Gel
Designed to cleanse without drying the skin, this gel contains quillaja
extract and soapwort, which are natural and mild cleansing and foaming
agents. Reactive skin is usually the result of the mind seeking protection, hence
increased oil production. By not stripping the skin of its natural oil,
the gel cleanses and gently rebalances. Seaweed extract maintains skin
health while smoothing and moisturising. The skin is firmed and stimulated. It
can also be combined with our Cleansing Lotion to assist combination
skin in balancing itself. 5ml Sachet retails at R7
Moisturiser
Perfect for a day cream and so versatile, this intensely hydrating cream is
enriched with olive extracts that deliver our active ingredients into the skin.
A cocktail of aloe ferox, marula oil, sweet almond, coconut and grapeseed
blended into rich shea leaves the skin soothed, softened and protected.
Shea provides natural sun protection factor and is combined with rose oil to
fragrance the skin and balance the hormonal system. The cream is packed
with natural antioxidants that protect and renew the cellular process.
Free from artificial fragrances that can damage the DNA of the skin; this
moisturiser is an essential part of your daily skincare routine.

Africology is proud to announce the launch of our Shimmer Butter,
freshly enriched and fragranced with hydrating essential oils and
powerful shea butter to deeply moisturise the skin. Neroli and jasmine
oils create a richly textured fragrance to accompany the shine
created by mineral powder. A wonderful product that celebrates

Africology is proud to announce that we have won three categories in the prestigious Fairlady Best of Beauty Awards! The following products have been rated best in their category by the Fairlady judges.
A is for Africology’s Anti-Oxidant Serum
This luxurious serum contains vitamin A palmitate for increased collagen and DNA stimulation, and improved texture and elasticity. DMAE helps protect the cell membrane, keeping cells intact and preventing skin damaging and ageing. Renews thin, aging skin around the lips and eyes. Ubiquinone plumps up fine lines and wrinkles and regenerates vitamin E production. Who needs Botox when our serum directly promotes membrane lipids, inactivates superoxide and supports cellular energy production naturally?
Body Butter
All skin types
So silky, so hydrating and just luxurious. We love formulating with a combination of cocoa butter and Shea for its softening and protective action on dry, chapped skin. Also contains Canola oil –a plant lipid which has barrier-repair and anti-inflammatory properties. Together with Marula oil it makes for an excellent emollient. It promotes cell regeneration and blood circulation, which in turn rejuvenates troubled and ageing skin, making it soft and supple.
Body Soak
A sensory balancing experience for mind and body. Made with Soapwort extract, which has natural foaming and cleansing properties to cleanse gently. Yucca extract is used for its anti-irritant properties and Marula oil is the perfect emollient, leaving skin feeling silky smooth.
