Available as our Speciality Blend and also Ginger and Mint.
The flavour of Rooibos Tea has often been described as being sweet and slightly nutty. Here at Africology we always bring our own creative flair into play and we have blended the singular African potato (Hypoxis) with our Rooibos tea to create our own uniquely African health blend.
Rooibos has a naturally reddish brown colour and is sometimes referred to as "red tea". We love adding a little ginger and cinnamon to intensify it and imbue it with that glowing, warm-body feeling.
Rooibos contains high levels of antioxidants and is caffeine-free. Low in tannin levels, Rooibos also contains a number of phenolic compounds, including flavanols and flavones. Anti-oxidants work industriously to repair damage done to our cells.
Rooibos is known in SA to be valuable in allaying nervous tension, combating allergies and soothing digestive problems. We have strengthened it with our Mint blend to make it even more effective in harmonising the digestive system.
